Loss Of A Child - Peyton Lucille Busingye Ayebare

Losing a child is one of the most traumatizing experiences that any parent should ever go through.
I have always believed that one of the greatest blessings any parent can ever have is to live a full life and have children outlive him so that they can burry him. This is the way most parents would want things to be. I had to face reality in a different way last December 2011 when i lost my beloved 3 week old daughter to duodenal atresia. I must say that this really was a trying time for me. The pain comes through the memories of the months she lived in the womb and all the plans we had for her. It is these memories that invoke unbearable hurting, stress and coldness. However, I believe that God is really a faithful God and does things for a purpose. God can not allow you go through something in which his grace is not sufficient enough to help you sail through. I have learnt that death is not only for the old but also for the young and actually is there for every one. At any one time it can come knocking at your door. It is something funny to realize how much we fear death. I found it funny when someone shared with me that even the christians that believe in God fear to die to go to heaven yet this is the only way to meet him. People do talk about how it is good to live everyday as your last but we never do. The value of life becomes apparent in the face of death. It is when you meet people involved in accidents, people in hospitals, people in war torn areas that you realise how precious life really is. If there is anything you need to value, then value the preciousness of life. What are you going to do with your life? This is a jewel you need to embrace and use fervently. Live in peace, love your neighbors, love and trust God. As you cherish life, hold on to what is eternal and that is the everlasting life offered by Jesus Christ who died on the cross for our sins. Accept and confess him as your saviour. Meditate on the word of the Lord daily so that you will be able to stand strong when the storms come. It is the peace of love through God that will wipe away all the tears you have in such moments. God is an ever present help in times of trouble and a strong refuge for those that are righteous and believe in him. Behold all things will always work together for good for those who love and serve the Lord and are called by his purpose. The more i share about death, the more the conviction of the abundance love of God grows stronger. If we die in him, so shall we resurrect in him. I wrote this to share with those that have suffered the loss of a loved one to encourage you to be strong. God is still there and he cares. He lets the rains fall on both the good and the bad. He will never leave us nor forsake us. Let us rejoice in the Lord always and in the power of his might. Be blessed.

Breaking Free

Ever reached a point in life where you feel that you really need a change. You can no longer stand the status quo. You are fed up of the habits that are creating a negative character in your life. You try and try to let go of these habits as much as you can but still you seem not to have any breakthrough. Guess what, you are not alone.
Habits that we get accustomed to over time become addictions and these addictions become strong holds in our lives. Change in this instance can only come by the grace of God. It can happen that you try for a while to let go of that habit and may even go to Church and give a testimony about the break through, but shortly after you find yourself slipping back to those old habits again. These addictions could be anything like alcoholism, bitterness, unforgiveness, keeping wrong company, deception, envy, casting lots, hypocrisy, quarreling. You keep trying your best to change but you don't succeed. You need a break badly, you feel you just need to break free.
Well, i want to encourage you not to give up. In this world we are to face so many tribulations but again victory is ours. It is possible to make a change. God promised us that in this world, we will face so many tribulations, but lets be of good cheer because he has overcome the world. I have discovered that God is with us in all that we go through and we need to accept this and surrender all our situations to him. God promised to give us his holy spirit which comes with the fruits of love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, kindness, gentleness, humbleness and self control. All we need to overcome all the strongholds we have in this life is the holy spirit of God that comes with all these fruits to set us free.
I will mention it again that change is not easy, it is not easy but it is possible. You may fail 100 times but if you keep trying, you will succeed. You will live to see the change you need in your life.
Watch your thoughts, they become words.
Watch your words, they become actions.
Watch your actions, they become habits.
Watch your habits, they become your character.
Watch your character, it becomes your destiny.
As you work on overcoming your addiction, the biggest battle field is in the mind. You need to change all thoughts that feed the spirit of that addiction you want to break. The bible says that if we resist the devil, he will flee from us. This resistance begins in the mind. Find a way to change your thoughts to the new pattern you want to see in your life.
As a man thinketh in his mind, so does he become. Think new, think different, think positive and all this will translate into energies creating the reforms you need in your life. Please do not put it off for tommorow, take a decision to break free from the addictions you have today and this will bring the change you need in your life.  Live full in the love of God and no more should you allow any addiction to take control of your life.

Preacher !! Save yourself !!! - That thing

This is one of the most interesting sermons i have listened to and i will cherish forever. I remember this was a sermon shared by Apostle John Mulinde in 2003 at a youth camp. Preacher!!! Save Yourself!!!!
Preachers of the Bible are usually workers of the Kingdom of God. It is very good to do the will of God, to do ministry, fellowship with brethren, pray and stand in the gap as long as the ultimate prize of going to heaven is also not missed by the worker.
There is "That Thing" in every Preacher's life that he needs to come to terms with and accept he needs to deal with if he is to fully accomplish his goal and not miss the prize. As a preacher, you have problably led many people to salvation, performed miraculous works by the power of God, shared with the poor, done spiritual warfare. All these are good things but there is need to re-examine your self and get rid of "That Thing" that is not needed in your life that is leading you to hell.
Take time to do self assessment as a worker of the Kingdom of God. It is very good to pray for people, minister to the saints, work miracles, annoint the sick and lead people to salvation. However if on that day, that day of Judgement, you are found wanting, it will be very bad for you. If on that day, Jesus will shout out to you "Get out of my sight you worker of iniquity, i never knew you" it will be very bad. The Bible says that "<< Luke 13 >>25Once the owner of the house gets up and closes the door, you will stand outside knocking and pleading, ‘Sir, open the door for us.’
“But he will answer, ‘I don’t know you or where you come from.’
26“Then you will say, ‘We ate and drank with you, and you taught in our streets.’
27“But he will reply, ‘I don’t know you or where you come from. Away from me, all you evildoers!’
28“There will be weeping there, and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, but you yourselves thrown out. 29People will come from east and west and north and south, and will take their places at the feast in the kingdom of God. 30Indeed there are those who are last who will be first, and first who will be last.”

Well, we can go on and on but the point is clear. What is that thing in your life that you need to repent of as a Preacher? You have kept it so well hidden in your heart. You may probably even just be finding that out right now. You feel deep down that you need a change. The people you minister to do not see the wrong in you. I urge you not to let your heart be hardened with pride or even anger. You need to break down right before God Almighty and ask for forgiveness.
This is what i would call a defining moment. This a time or point you reach in in your life and you realize that a veil has just been broken right in-front of you! You feel like a curtain has been drawn and a bright light is shining through. Suddenly you realize that you can see in yourself what you could not see before. This is what i call your defining moment. This is the time to change that which is wrong. This is the time to change that Thing. Preacher, do not hold back. Get on your knees, weep, repent and get rid of that thing. Preacher!!! Save Your Self!!!!
Fight the good fight of faith, run the race and win the race. Preacher, Save Yourself. God bless you.
